The autonomous city of Ceuta, in Spain, is in a state of maximum alert and total collapse due to an unprecedented migratory crisis that began in recent days, in which it is estimated that more than 60,000 illegal immigrants managed to cross the border from Morocco in less than 48 hours.
In this context, local residents began to hold protests against the government of socialist Pedro Sánchez to take action on the matter, even with the National Police present in the area, shouting at them to move to the border to stop the invasion.
In this context, videos of officers attacking and repressing Spaniards demanding protection against the thousands of Moroccan immigrants began to go viral on social media.
This incident not only drew attention for the violence against Spanish citizens themselves but also because there has not been a single video showing the Spanish police acting in the same way with the invaders.
The protests of the Spaniards
Following the recent mass entries of undocumented individuals, the residents of Ceuta took to the streets to denounce the enormous lack of protection and insecurity in the area, the collapse of local public services, and the preventive closure of numerous businesses due to fear of looting.
Local residents report that the streets are filled with people wandering, which has led to the temporary closure of shops and businesses as a precaution.

Additionally, there have already been reports of thefts, burglary, and attempts of illegal occupation of homes and establishments in various parts of the autonomous city by illegal immigrants.
The local government, along with the protesters, had already asked President Sánchez to declare a national emergency and request a more forceful intervention, including military deployment on the streets, although the central socialist administration refused to act.
