S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will debut on PlayStation 5 on November 20, 2025, consolidating the franchise's expansion to new platforms. Developed by GSC Game World, the title had already achieved great success on Xbox and PC since its launch in November 2024, surpassing one million copies sold.

The arrival on Sony's console represents a key step in the studio's strategy.  Users will be able to explore the dangerous Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, a 64 km² (24.7 square miles) environment filled with mystery, action, and horror elements, with multiple narrative decisions that alter the course of the story.

The PlayStation 5 version will fully leverage the console's features. Among them are:

  • Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers through DualSense.
  • Immersive sound with Tempest 3D Audio.
  • Visual optimization for PS5 Pro, with more realistic reflections, advanced shadows, fog effects, and improved global illumination.

Pre-order rewards and special editions

GSC Game World announced benefits for those who pre-order the title before its release. The base package includes:

  • Additional narrative content around the iconic campfire.
  • An exclusive classic weapon from the start.
  • A customized backpack with a distinctive patch.

The Deluxe and Ultimate editions also include extra missions, additional outfits and weapons, a season pass, and collectible digital materials such as the art book and the official soundtrack.
