
Córdoba: boom of startups and innovation hub with US$281 billion
Córdoba consolidates its entrepreneurial and technological ecosystem, with a strong presence in agriculture, AI, and biotechnology
In 2024, the Córdoba startup ecosystem reached U$S 281 billion, with annual growth of 9%. This figure contrasts with a 14% contraction globally, reflecting the strength of Córdoba's private sector. The GSER 2025 report ranked the province among the 20 most prominent ecosystems in Latin America.
GSER 2025, which analyzed more than 350 ecosystems, highlighted the resilience of the Córdoba model. Córdoba stands out for its accessible talent and its investment efficiency. The province managed to grow where others declined, thanks to an environment favorable to entrepreneurship.

An ecosystem driven by the private sector
Between 2022 and 2024, Córdoba recorded sustained expansion without the need for massive subsidies. Local startups excelled in artificial intelligence, big data, and biotechnology applied to agriculture.
The province ranks among the top 10 ecosystems in "affordable talent" in Latin America. It also entered the top 15 in overall performance, according to the accumulated value of its startups. In addition, it is top 25 in return on investment, a key indicator for venture capital.
A very dynamic sector for Córdoba is the knowledge industry, which represents one of the most dynamic engines of provincial development. This sector produces added value, employs qualified talent, and exports technological solutions. To grow, it needs the State not to stifle it with obstacles, taxes, or arbitrary regulations.

Agtech
The agtech sector represents 19% of Córdoba's ecosystem, with 78 startups in operation, beginning to attract international investment. Córdoba is a benchmark in smart agriculture and future foods. These companies apply big data, sensors, and predictive models to optimize the use of water, soil, and yields.
The ecosystem has more than 70 institutions that support development without imposing conditions. Economic freedom has allowed ideas to thrive thanks to Córdoba's dynamism and private participation. With less regulation and more freedom to innovate, Córdoba strengthens its position as a beacon for agricultural exports.
