Steam suffered a leak of approximately 12 TB of data that includes files published between 2003 and 2013.
The material would include complete games, beta versions, and unreleased prototypes of titles that were published on the platform during that decade.

What the Steam file leak contains
According to content creator related to Valve Gabe Follower, the data would have been collected through a public access endpoint. The process, according to his report, would not have required hacking.
The information would cover practically the entire Steam library between 2003 and 2013, and not only games developed by Valve.
The cutoff in 2013 would be explained by the change in storage system made by Valve that year.
