Steam added three free games to play over the weekend

Steam launched its Free Weekend promotion, allowing users to download and play three titles at no cost until August 3. Users can enjoy the games without limits during this period, although they will lose access once the promotion ends.

This weekend's selection, which runs from July 30 to August 3, includes two open-world games, a sports simulator, and a tower defense title. Steam typically repeats these types of promotions week after week, so new free titles are expected soon.

Necesse, the first free game of the weekend

Necesse is an open-world survival RPG that combines colony management, crafting, exploration, and boss hunting in a procedurally generated and infinite world.

Players build settlements, recruit villagers with unique skills, and automate farming and mining tasks while facing pirates, dragons, and ancient wizards.
