The JMEV Easy 3 has become the cheapest car in Argentina, after the Antelo Group announced today a price cut of 2,000 dollars. With this reduction, the electric city car imported from China now costs 16,900 dollars.
The announcement came hours before brands publish their price lists for August. With the new price, the Easy 3 has dethroned the Renault Kwid as the most economical model in the local market.
How the JMEV Easy 3 Dethroned the Renault Kwid
The JMEV Easy 3 has been sold in the country since last October and has been competing head-to-head with the Brazilian-made Renault Kwid for the title of cheapest car in Argentina.
With the price cut announced by the Antelo Group, the list price of the Easy 3 dropped from 18,900 to 16,900 dollars, about 24,674,000 pesos at the Banco Nación exchange rate. The Kwid, on the other hand, had a list price of 27,200,000 pesos in July, and for now, there are no signs that the diamond brand will respond with a similar adjustment.
