Tencent changes the file of 'Light of Motiram' after Sony's plagiarism lawsuit
Tencent adjusts Light of Motiram's listing on Steam following Sony's lawsuit for plagiarizing Horizon
One week after Sony's lawsuit, Tencent made significant changes to the Light of Motiram page on Steam. The Chinese company is seeking to distance itself from accusations of copying the aesthetics and universe of Horizon, the popular game from Guerrilla Games.
The conflict erupted because Sony claimed that Tencent's game plagiarizes enemies, artistic design, and even promotional material from the saga starring Aloy.

What was changed on Steam and why
Tencent removed several screenshots that showed environments and robots very similar to those in Horizon: Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. In their place, they uploaded more generic images.
Now, classic survival settings appear with gardens, crops, and robots that resemble more traditional mechas. They also changed the logo, removed the red-haired woman similar to Aloy, and replaced her with robotic animals: a penguin and a dog.
Changes in the game's description
Previously, the page mentioned "mechanimals," "primitive era," and "colossal machines." The text was modified to focus the story on natural survival.

The new description invites players to face "extreme climates" and "ancient cultures," highlighting the constant challenge of staying alive in a hostile world.
Tentative release date and platforms
Tencent announced that the game will be available on PC, PS5, Android, and iPhone in the fourth quarter of 2027. There is still no official confirmation or public response regarding Sony's lawsuit.

The game promises to be a free-to-play title with co-op and "realistic physics-based building," features that could attract fans of the genre.
