A new episode of Islamic terrorist violence shook Europe and once again set off alarm bells about the advance of international terrorism.
This Tuesday, a group of three armed men attacked the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, in an event that Turkish authorities are already investigating as a terrorist attack with possible links to Islamist extremism.

The rapid intervention of the police prevented a major tragedy: one of the attackers was killed on the spot and the other two were injured and arrested. Europe, in particular, faces the challenge of strengthening its security without giving way to those who seek to impose terror as a political tool
