The best decks for ranked battles in Pokémon TCG Pocket

With cards for new and experienced players, discover the best options to build your deck

The new competitive mode of Pokémon TCG Pocket has exceeded all expectations. Since its launch, this digital card game based on the classic Pokémon franchise has become a resounding success.

Now, with the incorporation of ranked battles, players have one more reason to perfect their strategies and climb the ranks.

How do ranked battles work?

The ranks in this competitive mode range from Beginner to Master Ball, passing through Poké Ball, Super Ball, and Ultra Ball. Each rank is subdivided into four levels. Winning battles grants points to ascend, and achieving winning streaks provides additional bonuses. However, starting from Super Ball, losses also deduct points.

The current season runs from March 28 to April 27, and at its conclusion, rewards such as emblems and booster clocks will be awarded.

Top decks to climb positions

Darkrai ex + Giratina ex

A powerful duo focused on the Dark and Psychic type. "Despite its simple appearance, this deck has complex gameplay," specialists highlight. The most attractive aspect is that Giratina ex can be obtained for free through missions.

Manaphy + Gyarados ex + Origin Palkia

Thanks to its durability, Gyarados returns to the meta with strength. Use Manaphy to accelerate energies and Origin Palkia as support. The Misty and Nakara cards enhance its effectiveness.

Moltres ex + Charizard ex

One of the most popular decks since the launch. With the new Charizard evolutionary line, the deck became more stable. Moltres ex fulfills the role of energy charge, allowing Charizard to unleash its full power.

Economical and competitive decks

Skarmory + Magnezone

It is the best option without Pokémon ex. "Its consistency and low cost make it ideal for beginners," experts say. It uses metal energies and benefits from the slower meta.

Lucario + Rampardos

An accessible yet powerful deck. Lucario boosts Rampardos's damage, which can even eliminate Giratina ex. Its cards are available in a single booster, making it easy to assemble.

Meowscarada + Beedrill ex

Recommended for those just starting. It uses direct attacks and abilities that punish opponents with many energies. Beedrill ex is available for free through April missions.
