Robertito Funes's despicable comments to Martina from Big Brother about her grandmother
The driver's actions caused great indignation on social media
The actions of the host Robertito Funes Ugarte during an interview with Martina Pereyra, recently eliminated from the reality show Gran Hermano 2024, caused great indignation on social media. It should be remembered that the young woman learned of her grandmother's death after leaving the house, as the family had expressly requested that she not be informed while she was in the competition to avoid distressing the young woman, who was expecting a reunion with her upon leaving the competition.
The moment of tension occurred on the show La Noche de los Ex, where Robertito insisted on addressing the topic, despite the participant's clear discomfort due to the recentness of the event. Although Santiago del Moro had already asked Martina about the sad news, the young woman had replied briefly and with great emotion. However, on the show hosted by Funes Ugarte, the situation was even more sensitive.

"I want to ask you something because, obviously, you found out what happened in your family when you left the house. I had that pending, sorry to ask you," expressed the host live, then added: "I wanted to know how you feel, not having received the hug from someone you wanted to receive it from," leaving the young woman somewhat bewildered by the question.
Martina's reaction was immediate; she broke into tears and, between sobs, asked not to talk about the topic. "I'd rather not talk about it, is that okay?" she expressed with pain. Despite the request, Robertito insisted again: "I'd like you to share it, if you just want to,". The situation was so uncomfortable that the host himself decided to cut the moment by asking to show images of the house again.
On social media, the backlash was swift. Users of X (formerly Twitter) exploded against Funes Ugarte, accusing him of being "out of line" and demanding his removal from the show. "We all need to unite all the Gran Hermano fandoms and demand that this guy stop being the host of La Noche de los Ex," wrote one user. Others expressed: "More tact, it wasn't just a neighbor who died," and "He always asks uncomfortable questions, exposing the participants."
