Immediately after the definition of the zones for the 2026 Torneo Apertura and Clausura, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) held the draw for the matchups and bracket of the 2026 Copa Argentina. The 64 participating teams from the Primera División (30), Primera Nacional (15), Primera B Metropolitana (5), Federal A (10), and Primera C (4) already know their opponents and fate in the competition.
The tournament will begin with the match between Independiente Rivadavia and Estudiantes de Caseros, to be played in the penultimate week of January and will conclude with the grand final on Wednesday, November 4. As in previous editions, the tournament winner will earn a direct spot in the Copa Libertadores. Additionally, from the round of 16, VAR will be used for the first time, a tool that made its debut in the final of the 2025 edition.
