Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni held a press conference this Monday in which he officially announced the dissolution of the Dirección Nacional de Vialidad and detailed the full package of measures adopted through the powers delegated to President Javier Milei, as part of the State transformation and modernization plan.
In total, 65 delegated decrees have been signed since December 20, 2023, through which unnecessary agencies were eliminated, duplicated structures were merged, and sectors that hindered investment and development were deregulated, Adorni explained. According to official estimates, this set of decisions represents USD 2 billion in annual savings for all Argentinians.
The majority of the eliminated entities did not provide essential services and operated as political funds or parallel structures that duplicated functions, so their existence was not justified.
With the publication of the decree dissolving Vialidad Nacional, a first cycle of deep reforms has been completed, aimed at reducing the size of the State, lowering the deficit, and restoring efficiency, transparency, and agility to the national public administration.
