The recurrence of these incidents led to the intervention of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which delegated the case to UFI No. 11 of La Matanza, under the direction of prosecutor Evangelina Sánchez, and with the participation of the Guarantee Court No. 3 headed by prosecutor Rubén Ochipinti.

The police force conducted a coordinated effort analyzing security camera footage, cross-referencing phone calls, and identifying vehicles, which made it possible to establish the pattern of the attacks and the composition of the criminal group, made up of at least five men and one woman.

On June 30, 2025, fifteen search warrants and six arrest warrants were issued. During the operations, A.E.C. (19), C.D.V.B. (52), J.O.V. (18), B.J.V. (21), and J.A.F. (56) were apprehended. Despite this, the suspect managed to escape. His location was determined thanks to the monitoring of a tapped phone line, with the collaboration of DAJUDECO. Finally, he was intercepted near Dr. Ignacio Arieta Avenue and Lartigau Street, in San Justo, where officers managed to arrest him and bring him before the justice system.
