They found in Ushuaia the treasurer of Banco Provincia who disappeared with millions
Franco Fiordelisi was found in a cabin in the south after days of searching. His trip was voluntary
Franco Fiordelisi, treasurer of Banco Provincia in Lincoln, was found this Monday, May 26, in a tourist cabin in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. He was in good health, according to police sources.
The disappearance of the 43-year-old employee had raised alarms in his city and surrounding areas, since he went missing without a trace after leaving with a large sum of money supposedly intended for the purchase of a car.
The most unsettling detail was the discovery of his truck. It was locked and parked near Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, in Buenos Aires. That clue made it possible to reconstruct part of the route.

How his trail was followed
On Wednesday, May 21, around 5:30 p.m., Fiordelisi reportedly left his home in Lincoln heading to the capital. The airport's security cameras and cell tower records, which detected activity even though his phone was turned off, led authorities to believe that he boarded a flight bound for the south of the country.
The Departmental Directorate of Investigations (DDI) of Lincoln pursued that hypothesis and ultimately located him five days later. He was alone and staying in a cabin complex, with no signs of having been forced.
In the first contact with the Ushuaia Police, Fiordelisi himself explained that he had decided to leave to "get away from some personal problems."
The confusion of those around him
During the days of uncertainty, the treasurer's family collaborated intensively with the investigation. They described him as a calm person, with no history of erratic behavior or previous conflicts that would have anticipated such a drastic decision.
His disappearance kept the entire Lincoln community on edge. The combination of a disappearance without warning, an abandoned vehicle, and a significant sum of money fueled multiple speculations.
However, at the conclusion of the operation, the police confirmed that the trip was completely voluntary and that there was no involvement of third parties. The exact reasons for his decision have not yet been clarified.
