A man was murdered in Chicago while he was live streaming on Facebook
Kevin Watson, 42 years old, was shot just meters (feet) from his workplace; the broadcast went viral
A violent incident shook Chicago on Wednesday afternoon, when Kevin Watson, 42 years old, was shot and killed while livestreaming on Facebook. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. in the southern Austin neighborhood, just a few meters (feet) from a police station.
The video of the attack, which already exceeds two million views, shows Watson getting out of his car and, seconds later, the sound of multiple gunshots. Witnesses indicated that the victim had just finished his shift at a nearby liquor store owned by his cousin.

The victim's final minutes
According to Chicago police, Watson was sitting in his vehicle when another car approached and one of its occupants opened fire. The man tried to raise his hands and get out of the car, but a bullet struck his chest. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his death was confirmed.
A close friend recounted that he was with him in his final moments: "I rubbed the palm of his hand and squeezed it, but he didn't squeeze back." Another family member said that the victim was struggling to breathe before he passed away.
An attack with no arrests
Watson was the father of a six-year-old child and was just a few weeks away from his birthday. "We'll have to find a way to be strong to get through this, because it didn't just hurt one person," his friend said.
