They attempted to assassinate Andrés Mego, one of the organizers of La Derecha Fest.
According to Eduardo Feinmann, six men waited for Mego at the entrance of his house and attacked him brutally
In a high-impact news story revealed by journalist Eduardo Feinmann on his A24 program, it was reported that Andrés Mego, one of the organizers of La Derecha Fest, was savagely beaten at his home in Almagro (City of Buenos Aires), just five days before the La Derecha Diario event was to take place.
The incident, which until now had not been released, includes alarming details: Mego has 46 stitches on his head, rib fractures, and also suffered the temporary abduction of his daughter.

According to Feinmann, six men allegedly waited for Mego at the entrance to his residence. When he opened the door, they attacked him with extreme violence, striking him on the head with a stick until he was left seriously injured.
The journalist stated that the injuries were so severe that the editor was urgently hospitalized, remaining in intensive care for several days. The severity of the attack suggests, according to judicial sources consulted, that they intended to kill him.
According to police sources, one of those arrested is reportedly Mego's daughter's ex-boyfriend. Police reports indicate that two of the six individuals involved in the alleged attempted murder of Andrés Mego are minors.

One of the most chilling aspects of the episode is that the assailants kidnapped one of his daughters, put her in a vehicle, drove her around for a while, and then returned her near the residence. However, they did not steal any valuables or money, which strengthens the hypothesis of a contracted attack with ideological or political motivations.

Mego is the owner of the publishing house Hojas del Sur, responsible for publishing books related to the cultural battle, including works by Nicolás Márquez, Agustín Laje, and the new book by President Javier Milei, which is scheduled for release in the coming months. Meanwhile, due to his active role in organizing La Derecha Fest and his connection with government figures, authorities do not rule out that the attack was a premeditated reprisal and was intended to cancel the event.
Feinmann revealed that he was informed that searches and arrests have already been carried out in recent hours, but no further information was provided. Authorities are still trying to determine whether it was a criminal cell acting on contract or an extreme case of common crime, which seems less likely.
Meanwhile, as Andrés Mego continues to recover, the case is causing serious concern in circles connected to politics and Milei's government. The brutality of the attack and the level of organization displayed by the assailants raise serious alarms and the investigation must be thorough.
