Almost a week after the traffic accident that left him hospitalized in intensive care, Thiago Medina—remembered for his participation in Gran Hermano 2022—was finally operated on Friday morning.
The surgery is being performed atthe Mariano y Luciano de la Vega Hospital, in Moreno, with the participation of a multidisciplinary team made up of specialists from that institution and from the Bicentenario Hospital of Esteban Echeverría.
According to the official medical report issued at 10 a.m., Medina "spent the night without a fever", a condition that allowed the clinical team to proceed with the surgical intervention, whose objective is to repair the rib cage, which was affected as a consequence of the accident.

The health of the 22-year-old had caused great concern since Friday the 12th, when he suffered a motorcycle accident in the Moreno district. According to the first reports, Medina collided with a vehicle while riding his motorcycle, which led to his immediate admission to the Intensive Care Unit.
As the days went by, the medical reports maintained a cautious but stable tone, until it was finally confirmed that a highly complex surgery was necessary. The operation is being carried out jointly by the teams from both hospitals, integrated through the Surgery Network of the Province of Buenos Aires.

The hospital's statement specified that the surgery is expected to last several hours and that the results and Thiago's progress will be reported through official channels. "The patient is stable", the report indicated, which is an encouraging sign amid the delicate medical situation.
Meanwhile, the next official report is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. this Friday, when it is expected to be known how his body replied to the intervention and what the next steps in his recovery will be.
