Tom Holland was temporarily replaced during the filming of Spider-Man
The new installment of Spider-Man continues filming in the United Kingdom, but this time without Tom Holland's presence. The actor decided to take a break and was temporarily replaced by his stunt double.
The news was shared by renowned leaker DanielRPK, and it caused a stir among the superhero's fans. However, from Marvel they assure that everything is under control.

Why did Tom Holland leave the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
According to DanielRPK, Holland temporarily left the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day to participate in key scenes for Avengers: Doomsday. Both productions are being filmed in the United Kingdom, which made logistics easier.
Sources close to the matter indicated that the Russo brothers requested his presence on the set of the new Avengers film. Everything suggests that Spider-Man's role will be crucial in that movie, which is scheduled for release in December 2026.
Filming continues with his stunt double
Despite Holland's absence, filming for Brand New Day did not stop. His stunt double took on the role in the planned sequences, while the actor participates in the other Marvel Studios project.

The current scenes are being filmed behind closed doors, after the open sessions in Glasgow, where hundreds of fans were able to see the hero in action. Now, the team is focusing on the most important sequences of the plot.
What is known about Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film promises to introduce the symbiote and possibly showcase the iconic black suit. The release is scheduled for July 2026, just a few months before Avengers: Doomsday.

Everything indicates that Marvel is preparing a large-scale cinematic event, with the participation of Robert Downey Jr. and the return of key characters. Tom Holland's Spider-Man appears to be at the center of this new stage of the MCU.
A strategic pause, not a problem
Production insists that Holland's pause doesn't affect the schedule. On the contrary, it is a coordinated move between two simultaneous shoots that aim to strengthen the Marvel universe.
