After several weeks without official activity in Formula 1, Franco Colapinto will compete again this weekend at the Miami Grand Prix , a special event for the Argentine driver, since it will be the first time he will race on the American street track.
The Alpine driver reaches his fourth appointment of the season after a break marked by work at the Enstone factory, simulator tests and a day of filming in Silverstone with the A526. “After the break after Suzuka, it's great to get back to preparing for another week of racing, especially in a place as unique as Miami,” he said in official statements from
the French team.In addition to highlighting the activities with his team, the Argentine referred to the great closing of the break: the Road Show that he starred last Sunday on the streets of Buenos Aires, where he drove a Lotus E20 and Juan Manuel Fangio's legendary “Silver Arrow” in front of thousands of fans. In this regard, Colapinto highlighted his experience: “I still can't believe how special it was to drive a Formula 1 at home. People were so supportive and it was beautiful to do this for them.”

Thinking about what's next, he made it clear that he's focused on the next race. “All my attention is all my attention is focused on Miami and on the Sprint weekend ahead of us,” said the native of Pilar
.One of the aspects that most excites Colapinto is the modification approved by the FIA for this weekend, which will extend the only free practice on Friday. The measure appears to be an important aid for those who are not familiar with the circuit, as is your case.
“We will have a longer FP1 on Friday, which will be very useful to understand our car before a very intense weekend. I've never raced in Miami, so this session is very important for me to learn the circuit before entering the Sprint Classification,” he said
.
Finally, Colapinto made clear his expectations for the return of Formula 1: “I am excited for the challenge and for racing again! Our goal, as always, is to do the best possible job and resume the season with another finish in the points.”
