For the first time in the US, members of the terrorist group Antifa will be tried on domestic terrorism charges
The government of President Donald Trump charged the far-left group Antifa for the first time with domestic terrorism charges after a cell of its activists opened fire on an immigrant detention center in Texas during an ambush in July.
Two Antifa members, Cameron Arnold and Zachary Evetts, were indicted by a federal grand jury for providing material support to terrorism, attempted murder of federal agents and assistants, and use of firearms during attempted murders, according to court documents obtained by Fox News.
"As the president has made clear, Antifa is a left-wing terrorist organization. They will be prosecuted as such," commented Attorney General Pam Bondi on platform X. Trumprecently designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization following the murder of leader Charlie Kirk.

Details of the terrorist attack
The case files describe how masked anarchists lured Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents (ICE) out of an immigrant detention center located in the town of Alvarado, Texas, and then shot them at point-blank range. As a result, one officer was seriously wounded in the neck.
"The wounded officer fell to the ground but was able to return fire. Co-perpetrator 1 continued firing more rounds until his rifle jammed. Then, the strikers fled the scene," the court record states. Official vehicles were also vandalized with graffiti such as "traitor" and "ICE pig."
At the start of the investigation, ten suspects were arrested by authorities, including a former Marine Corps reservist named Benjamin Hanil Song, who also allegedly fired at federal agents during the attack. Song was on the run for a week before being captured.
When searching the scene of the attack, in addition to bullet casings, police found spray paint cans and pamphlets with phrases about a "class struggle" and "political prisoners," as well as a flag that read "resist fascism—fight the oligarchy."
