The president of the United States, Donald Trump, hinted at a possible regime change in Iran, after his country allied with Israel in an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.
On Sunday, after the bombing, Trump posted a provocative question on his social media: “Why wouldn't there be a regime change?”
His statements came after several senior American officials stated that Saturday's military offensive, in which American aircraft destroyed three strategic targets, was not intended to overthrow the Iranian regime, but to end Tehran's nuclear program.
In his message, Trump wrote: “It's not politically correct to use the term "regime change," but if the current Iranian regime can't MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn't there be a regime change?”
