The U.S. president wrote a message on his social media accounts in which he hinted at a possible regime change

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, hinted at a possible regime change in Iran, after his country allied with Israel in an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

On Sunday, after the bombing, Trump posted a provocative question on his social media: “Why wouldn't there be a regime change?

His statements came after several senior American officials stated that Saturday's military offensive, in which American aircraft destroyed three strategic targets, was not intended to overthrow the Iranian regime, but to end Tehran's nuclear program.

In his message, Trump wrote: “It's not politically correct to use the term "regime change," but if the current Iranian regime can't MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn't there be a regime change?

The bombings carried out by the United States on Saturday against three different facilities in Iran took place after a week of attacks between Israel and the Islamic terrorist regime, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the decision to dismantle the Iranian nuclear program because it is a danger not only to his country, but to the entire region.

Both Netanyahu and Donald Trump expressed their concern about the possibility that Tehran was close to achieving the technical capability to manufacture a nuclear weapon, something Iran has been seeking for several years.

According to Trump, the attacks, which included the use of state-of-the-art American bombs designed to penetrate underground structures, caused significant damage.

During Monday morning, Israel's armed forces reported the launch of Iranian missiles against its territory, and in turn, claimed to have bombed six airports in Iran.

Currently, about 40,000 American soldiers deployed at bases and ships in the Middle East are on high alert for possible Iranian reprisals. The US Department of State, meanwhile, issued a global alert urging American citizens to exercise extreme caution anywhere in the world.

The Strait of Hormuz

In a high-impact move, Iranian state television announced that Parliament approved legislation to close the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic maritime route through which about 25% of the world's oil and gas passes.

This closure would have serious consequences for global trade. In response, the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, asked China to use its influence to prevent Iran from carrying out this measure.
