Tulumba, Córdoba: Former employee stole 25 million from his boss after being fired

The police identified the young man through security cameras and arrested him at his home with the loot ready to buy a car

The incident occurred in the province of Córdoba, when a 22-year-old man was arrested in San José de la Dormida for stealing 25 million pesos ($25 million) from his former employer. According to the police, he entered the businessman's home, taking advantage of the fact that it was empty, and took the cash. The amount was intended for the purchase of a vehicle, according to the complaint filed by the victim.

The investigation was carried out by the Investigations Division of the Tulumba Department. Thanks to security cameras, the suspect was identified and quickly located at his home. The procedure was carried out in the same locality in northern Córdoba, where both parties involved reside.

Fired and now accused of theft

The detainee was identified as Minuet, who had been fired months earlier by the affected businessman. Judicial sources reported that he faces charges of theft and trespassing, ordered by the Deán Funes prosecutor's office. Investigators believe that he acted alone and with prior information about the location of the money.

The episode reopens the debate on recidivism and the criminal response to crimes against private property. Business sectors, meanwhile, warn of the need to strengthen penalties in cases of revenge or workplace violence. The case also highlights the importance of camera monitoring and the speed of police action.
