A resident of the Cerveceros neighborhood, in the capital of Córdoba, found two hand grenades in a garbage container.
The incident, which took place on Ricardo López Cabrera Avenue at 6200, prompted the intervention of the Police Explosives Brigade. According to the entity, the devices did not have "the ignition train." They were seized and "neutralized" later in a tubular capsule to be analyzed.
After the discovery, there was a great deal of tension among the residents of the neighborhood. Authorities are now investigating the origin of both explosives and how they ended up in a garbage container in the Cerveceros neighborhood.
What are the FMK2 grenades found in Córdoba
According to reports, the grenades found in Córdoba are called FMK2 and are domestically manufactured. It was also reported that both safety mechanisms were in place (transport safety and safety pin). They were in very good condition and without their ignition train.
