The tension in Big Brother escalated to unexpected levels this week. Chiara Mancuso, daughter of former player Alejandro Mancuso, became embroiled in controversy after being labeled as "the privileged one" of the reality show. On social media, the hashtag "CHIARA AL 9009" trended with thousands of comments against her.
But the conflict crossed the screen when Giovanni, Chiara's brother, burst into the television debate to confront journalist Laura Ubfal, whom he accused of insinuating favoritism toward his sister.
"How can you question the production by implying that my sister is privileged?" Giovanni launched, visibly upset.
Ubfal replied with discomfort, but without hesitation."When did I say that? I never said anything," she replied.
"Not at all, never ever. And I don't think that's the case. I believe there are no privileges in Big Brother. That's all a fantasy of Twitter ghosts who repeat, repeat," she stated.
The exchange surprised the panel and viewers. It was the first time a participant's family member addressed a panelist live to make a direct accusation.
Del Moro intervened and denied favoritism toward Chiara
Amid the tension in the studio, Laura Ubfal recalled another conflictive episode with the Mancuso family. "Then Mr. Mancuso got offended because he said I spoke badly about his daughter. We talked about everything," she mentioned, referring to her own streaming program.

Amid the commotion, host Santiago del Moro took the floor to clear up rumors about alleged financial backing from Alejandro Mancuso within the game.
"Wait, another thing. When they say she's backed by her father... the father isn't Jeff Bezos," he joked.
"There are people in there who have much more money than Mr. Mancuso. Much more," he added, dismissing any external influence.
