The Radical Civic Union of Córdoba confirmed the holding of internal elections scheduled for September 20 after failing to reach a consensus between the Generación X and Más Radicalismo sectors at the time of officializing their ballots. The central disagreement between both sectors lay in the distribution of seats within the Provincial Congress of the UCR, where an unresolved gap of 6 representatives blocked the agreement for a unified list. In this scenario, provincial legislator Matías Gvozdenovich will lead the Generación X list, while former mayor Juan Jure will run as a candidate to preside over the Provincial Committee for the Más Radicalismo group.

The institutional disagreement focused on the allocation of party congress members, with the Generación X group offering a quota of 52 representatives to Más Radicalismo, while the opposing sector demanded to reach 58 seats. The counterproposal made by Más Radicalismo contemplated retaining the majority in the party's deliberative body in exchange for ceding the formal leadership of the Provincial Committee to the representatives of Generación X. However, the consensus negotiations collapsed close to the closing time, resulting in the confirmation of competition at the polls for both provincial authorities and local positions.

In terms of nominations, Juan Jure will be accompanied by Cristina Giorcelli as the vice-presidential candidate and by Franco Jular in the leadership of Más Radicalismo, also promoting Pablo Farías to preside over the Capital Committee. For its part, the Generación X list includes leader Miguel Nicolás as a candidate for the Capital Committee and proposes legislator Alejandra Ferrero to preside over the party's Congress body. Regarding the National Committee, Generación X nominated mayor Marcos Ferrer, Javier Bee Sellares, and Soledad Carrizo, while Más Radicalismo placed former mayor Ramón Mestre at the forefront of its representatives.

Territorial distribution of departmental candidacies

The lack of agreements will force internal elections in the Provincial Committee, the Capital Committee, and in a total of 18 departments of the Mediterranean territory, including Colón, Punilla, Río Cuarto, and Santa María. The territorial disputes will also replicate in the jurisdictions of General San Martín, Unión, Marcos Juárez, San Alberto, Minas, Cruz del Eje, Río Seco, and Totoral. On the other hand, only in 8 provincial departments was it possible to formalize a unity ballot, with 5 of those arrangements belonging to Generación X and the remaining 3 to the ranks of Más Radicalismo.

The process of closing lists was marked by internal political movements, including the formal withdrawal of the Identidad y Conducta Radical core, a space historically referenced in leader Carlos Becerra. Through a press release, the members of this group stated that their disconnection from the lists was due to a political decision based on internal operational differences. In parallel, the internal electoral contest encompasses different territorial sectors but excludes the youth leadership space of the radical party from the competition.

Regarding the leadership of the Radical Youth of Córdoba, the presidency was assigned to leader Candelaria Alanis as the successor to the reference Héctor Mignola. The absence of candidates presented by the Generación X space for this category guaranteed the attribution of the youth representation position to Más Radicalismo without the need for a vote. Thus, the Radical Civic Union of Córdoba is directing its institutional preparations to resolve the final distribution of its internal authorities through the vote of its affiliates.
