At the UIC Colloquium, Llaryora said that he would lower the Gross Income Tax for Córdoba's SMEs.

The Governor proposed supporting the industry with infrastructure policies and tax reductions

The governor of Córdoba, Martín Llaryora,  announced a reduction in Gross Income Tax for SMEs based in the province.

He made this announcement during the 17th Industrial Colloquium of UIC, which took place this Tuesday at the Córdoba Convention Center, under the slogan "Compete, invest, integrate: the trident of development."

At the same event, the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers Guillermo Francos addressed the national situation.

Llaryora will lower Gross Income Tax for SMEs

Llaryora announced that a bill will be sent to the Legislature with the aim of creating a new simplified regime for industrial promotion.

This way, those industries with annual revenues of up to 3.2 billion pesos (7.05 million dollars) will have a 0 percent Gross Income Tax, a measure that will impact 95% of SMEs based in Córdoba.

It should be noted that the remaining 5% is covered by the current Industrial Promotion Law.

In this regard, Llaryora stated, "We are going to make an important decision today. Because it is not only about thinking, talking, and defending the vocation, but also showing it with actions."

Meanwhile, the Governor instructed the expansion of the tax budget quota for current Industrial Promotion Laws by 10 billion pesos (22.05 million dollars).

This way, the budget allocated to this matter will increase from 150 billion to 160 billion pesos (from 331 million to 353 million dollars).

"In Córdoba we have the most powerful Industrial Promotion Law in Argentina. In Córdoba, there is zero gross income tax, zero stamp tax, zero property tax on your property, and many more benefits," Llaryora explained.

Llaryora and the defense of industry

In another part of his speech, Llaryora urged the defense of industry: "We need to be competitive, but with an intelligent, consensual opening, taking into account the conditions, the existing framework."

"We must commit to defending national industry, because This way we also defend Argentina's ability to have dollars."

"The defense of our industrial model must be a commitment that all of us here assume, not just industrialists. All of Argentina's political leadership must begin to assume this commitment that industry is central, so that later services and commerce can be added," added the Governor, who also requested that, alongside the macroeconomic plan, a development and infrastructure program be promoted throughout the country.

The UIC Colloquium in Córdoba

The Colloquium is the most representative meeting of Córdoba's industry, which this time took on a national character with the participation of more than 700 businessmen and businesswomen, government authorities, academic leaders, and sector leaders.
