The diva criticized the cost of living, and her complaints drew attention

Amid an economic climate that shows a clear slowdown in inflation thanks to President Javier Milei's stabilization plan, Moria Casán once again found herself at the center of controversy after complaining live about the cost of building fees and the salaries of building staff.
The episode took place on La mañana con Moria (eltrece) following an analysis by Federico Seeber on October's inflation, which according to INDEC was 2.3%, consolidating the downward trend of the last six months.
"You go out on the street and people tell you they can't make ends meet. Because food prices go up a little, salaries don't increase, utilities go up, private schools..." the journalist explained.
Faced with that description, Casán exploded: "Talk to me, talk to my daughter who has to pay for private schools for the babies... What about the building fees?" she exclaimed indignantly, causing an immediate stir in the studio.
Seeber tried to provide context for the phenomenon: "When everything goes up, building fees go up a bit more."
Moria Casán puso también como ejemplo la economía de su hija quien aseguró paga un altísimo precio por el colegio privado de su nieta
But Moria doubled down and left a remark that quickly went viral: "The doormen earn more than I do! Please..." This statement was disparaging to a large number of workers who work twice as many hours as she does on television and perform much tougher tasks.
The host's complaint stands out for a clear reason: during the Kirchner administrations — whom Moria praised on several occasions — the diva never expressed outrage over the rise in inflation, nor over the brutal loss of purchasing power that affected millions of Argentines.
Between 2020 and 2023, annual inflation exceeded 200%, hitting working sectors especially hard and leading Argentina into one of the deepest price crises in its history. However, Moria did not publicly question building fees, salaries, or widespread increases at that time.
