Universal Pictures has confirmed that "The Mummy 4" is already underway and will mark the return of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz to the franchise. The film will be directed by Radio Silence, the duo behind the recent horror hits Scream and Abigail.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio will revive one of the most iconic film sagas of the 90s, with the original protagonists returning after more than two decades. This is a highly anticipated comeback for fans, who have been requesting a new installment with the classic cast for years.

The return of the heroes of an entire generation
Brendan Fraser, Oscar winner for "The Whale", will once again portray Rick O'Connell. He will be joined by Rachel Weisz as Evelyn, his adventure partner, who did not participate in the third film of the saga, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
This new installment will seek to capture the original essence of the trilogy: a blend of action, horror, and humor that defined the style of the first films directed by Stephen Sommers. The project is in the early stages of development, so no details have been confirmed yet.
