Wanda Nara vs Pampita: the rumor of a war for the MasterChef position

An unexpected comment on Puro Show (El Trece) sparked rumors of a conflict that promises to provide plenty of material in the entertainment world. According to Angie Balbiani, Wanda Nara allegedly suspected that Pampita  was maneuvering to take over as host of MasterChef (Telefe), no less than by using the panelist as an intermediary without her knowledge.

“They say Wanda believes I have a personal vendetta against her because Pampita would want to take her job”, Balbiani said live, clarifying that she preferred to think it was all a theory invented by trolls. Even so, she admitted that the situation seemed striking to her and she did not hesitate to share it with her colleagues.

The reaction on the Puro Show set

Pampito, one of the show's hosts, expressed his surprise at the possibility that Carolina Pampita Ardohain was behind alleged operations against Wanda.  Matías Vázquez, the  other host, described the idea as "far-fetched," while Balbiani herself joked: "People believed I was Felicitas from Rebelde Way. I can't have my own personality."

Fernanda Iglesias also contributed her perspective: she recalled that conspiracy theories were commonplace in the entertainment industry and cited as an example the idea that Pampita might have her sights set on MasterChef.

Amid the speculation, Balbiani insisted that there was no evidence that Wanda actually thought that or that Pampita was behind any campaign. "I want to believe she's smarter," she stated, clarifying that she only took it as a joke.

Background and signs of tension

The rumor did not arise out of nowhere. In other broadcasts,  Wanda had already shown her displeasure with Puro Show over the coverage of family and legal matters, such as the cases related toMauro Icardior mentions of her daughters. These precedents fueled the perception of underlying discomfort.

In addition, there was an episode at Ezeiza that drew attention.  After a work trip to Mexico, Wanda avoided answering questions  from the only reporter from Puro Show who was waiting for her at the airport, although she did pose smiling with her fans. That gesture reinforced the idea of a personal grudge against the show.

Meanwhile, there were reports of audio recordings and messages linked to alleged trolls who defended Wanda on social media and attacked figures such as China Suárez or even Icardi. 

The rumor of rivalry between Pampita and Wanda became established. Although for now it has remained a television speculation, the inevitable question that lingers is whether there will be a diva war for the MasterChef throne.
