Education: new training and economic support programs
The Government launched the virtual training "Crecer Cuidados", aimed at preventing violence against children and adolescents.
Additionally, the 2025 call for Progresar Trabajo is open until November 30, and for the Educational Vouchers Program until May 16, aimed at minors under 18 who attend private management institutions and receive state support exceeding 75%.
Security: anti-drug operations and penitentiary assistance
During the week, more than 1,172 kilos (2,583 pounds) of drugs were seized in operations carried out in Misiones, Formosa, and Jujuy.
A gang transporting 50 kilos (110 pounds) of cocaine from Orán to Córdoba and CABA was also dismantled.
Meanwhile, inmates made more than 3,000 new uniforms for the Federal Penitentiary Service.
Justice and post-emergency assistance
The National Registry of Motor Vehicles announced the exemption from procedures such as replacement of cards, titles, low and high license plates for those affected by the storm in Bahía Blanca.
Additionally, 78 judicial offices certified their processes under the ISO 9001:2015 standard, as part of a new Quality Management Program.
In the first quarter, more than 150 victims of human trafficking were rescued.
Army: new call for non-commissioned officers
Registration opened for the training of non-commissioned officers of the Argentine Army, as part of the restructuring of the forces.
Economy: growth and new international negotiations
The Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, held meetings with the IMF, the World Bank, and the Ministry of Finance of France.
In February, economic activity grew by 5.7% year-on-year and 0.8% monthly.
A debt regularization plan with CAMMESA was launched, and the privatization process of ENARSA began with the sale of shares in TRANSENER.
Energy: trade surplus and historic results
In the first quarter, Argentina achieved a positive balance of USD 1.872 billion in its energy trade balance, driven by an 8% increase in exports.
Meanwhile, AySA announced its first operating surplus since 2007.
International agenda: Milei in Europe, Sturzenegger in the United States
President Javier Milei awarded the Doctorate Honoris Causa to Spanish economist Jesús Huerta de Soto in Buenos Aires, at ESEADE.
He then traveled to Europe, where he attended the funeral of Pope Francis at the Vatican, held meetings with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and was honored with the 2024 Milton Friedman International Award.
Meanwhile, Minister Federico Sturzenegger participated as the main speaker at an event of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington DC and gifted a chainsaw pin to the IMF director, Kristalina Georgieva.
