Deserved: Trump will present the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Rudy Giuliani
The U.S. President announced his intention to honor the historic conservative leader this Monday on his social media
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced on social media that he will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the historic former mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, who is currently recovering from his injuries after suffering a serious car accident.
"I am pleased to announce that Rudy Giuliani, the greatest mayor in the history of New York City and an equally great American patriot, will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in our country," was the message the president posted on his Truth Social platform.
The incident that occurred last Sunday caused Giuliani to suffer a vertebra fracture, as well as multiple wounds and bruises from which he is recovering. The accident happened after the political leader heroically assisted a victim of domestic violence who was crying out for help on the highway.

Giuliani, a hero both inside and outside politics.
The former mayor's chief of security issued a statement providing details on how the event that compromised the health of the historic Republican leader occurred. In the statement, Michael Ragusa explains that Giuliani was approached by a woman who had been a victim of a domestic violence case, to whom he provided immediate assistance and called the police.
When the officers arrived at the scene, once the safety of the complainant was ensured, Giuliani set off and while driving on the highway his vehicle was rear-ended at high speed by a car driven by a 19-year-old teenager who only suffered minor injuries.
Giuliani was mayor of the city of New York for two terms, between 1994 and 2001. Under his leadership, the city experienced a period of prosperity and safety. For his leadership after the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Giuliani earned the nickname "America's Mayor."
Having become President Trump's personal attorney, the former mayor's good work both outside and inside politics will ensure that when he recovers he will be awarded the highest civilian distinction in the U.S.
