White House celebrates that the price of gasoline has reached its lowest level since 2021

Since Trump's return to power, fuel prices have continued to decrease and have reached their lowest value since 2021

Not even a year has passed since Trump returned to the White House, and Americans are already enjoying the lowest fuel prices since 2021 this summer.

The cost of gasoline dropped to $3.15 per gallon, the American Automobile Association (AAA) reported on Friday.

Despite tensions in the Middle East, amplified by the war that took place last month between Iran and Israel, fuels increased by only 1% in June and have remained low during the summer, according to the report by the cited organization published by The Daily Wire.

California, with the most expensive gasoline in the country

The most expensive gasoline in the United States is still found in California, where the average cost stands at $4.49 per gallon. Hawaii and Washington, also under Democratic rule, were the other two states that recorded a price per gallon above $4.

Meanwhile, Republican states continue with this downward trend. Mississippi, for example, has the cheapest gasoline in the country, with an average of $2.72 per gallon.

In June2022, halfway through Biden's term, AAA had recorded for the first time in its history since it began tracking fuel prices that the national average per gallon had reached$5.

These prices remained high during the rest of Biden's term, well above the average of $2.39 recorded at the start of his presidency, a number that Trump had left.

Trump deregulates energy

Since he took office again, Trump has taken measures that have directly contributed to this decrease. The "One Big Beautiful Bill" (OBBB) project, recently signed into law, encourages the development of fossil fuels and eliminates subsidies for green energy.

The Department of the Interior announced the removal of subsidies for wind and solar energy and also confirmed that these projects will be subject to more rigorous review before being approved.

The current administration is now focused on reducing regulations and accelerating permits for coal mining, where procedures for "environmental review" left by Biden will be expedited.
