Winter tourism in Córdoba: expectations are to surpass 2023 figures
Winter vacations show signs of sustained growth due to the new national economic context
Córdoba is experiencing the school break with a positive outlook for tourism in the coming weeks. The president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Darío Capitani, estimated that last winter's figures will be surpassed. "We're going to surpass last year's numbers because we have an additional factor," he stated.
The official explained that the staggered duration of the break in other provinces extends the flow of visitors to Córdoba destinations. The four-week calendar includes districts that start vacations later, boosting tourism throughout the province. "Córdoba is going to see an interesting increase," Capitani assured.
This weekend, a 50% advance occupancy rate is estimated, while projections for the second and third weeks reach 66% and 70%. The fourth week is expected to be lower, but with good levels of tourist activity. The flow is favored by a greater margin for planning thanks to national economic stability.

National fiscal order, key to tourism growth
Expectations of higher occupancy in Córdoba are linked to the new macroeconomic scenario driven by the national government. Fiscal balance, the opening of imports, and lower inflation have created more predictable conditions for tourism consumption. In addition, exchange rate stability and the recovery of purchasing power have contributed to the sector's reactivation.
The improvement in the economy has allowed more families to plan domestic trips further in advance and access promotions. According to official data, tourism has grown by 18% nationwide so far this year, with occupancy peaks in historic destinations such as Bariloche and Mar del Plata. Córdoba is part of this general trend, driven by the executive branch's macroeconomic decisions.
Far from being attributed to local management, the upturn in Córdoba is occurring within the framework of homogeneous growth throughout the country. The economic policies implemented by the national government—such as the elimination of the fiscal deficit and price liberalization—have created a favorable context for tourism. That solid foundation is what now allows for projections of a winter season surpassing that of 2023.
