The Trotskyist leader of the Left Front shared images of the event held in Saint-Denis, on the outskirts of Paris, under the slogan calling for the absolution of Kazib and in solidarity with "Palestine". In the post shared by Bregman, she is seen alongside the French activist, at an event filled with militant symbolism and international slogans from the radical left.
The trip reignited criticism against the hypocrisy of the opponent of effective prison sentences for rapists, who often presents herself as a frugal legislator and part of a space that claims its deputies “earn like a teacher” and donate the rest of their salary to “struggle funds and popular causes”.

The postcards in luxurious Parisian cafes are generating controversy around the Argentine left. While millions of workers face the consequences of years of inflation, deficit, and inherited state waste, Bregman appears on an international tour, amidst events, photos, and meetings with foreign leaders.
The tour also included contacts with Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of La France Insoumise, one of the main figures of the French left. The meeting took place within the framework of the international campaign for Kazib, which the revolutionary left presents as a cause against the “criminalization” of support for Palestine.

The episode adds to other legislative precedents that have already placed Bregman at the center of controversy. In 2016, the then-deputy voted against the amendment of Law 24.660, an initiative aimed at restricting benefits for those convicted of crimes against sexual integrity and limiting parole in those cases. The official record of the Chamber of Deputies shows her negative vote.
She also appears as absent in the 2023 vote on the creation of the Protocol for the Protection and Detection of Sexual Abuse against Girls, Boys, and Adolescents, according to the record of the lower house. Bregman accumulates contradictions against her “feminist and progressive” preaching; now, her rhetoric of austerity is also under scrutiny.
