Xbox is betting on several next-generation consoles alongside AMD
Xbox has confirmed that it is working with AMD on several next-generation consoles. There will be portable models
Xbox has already confirmed that its new generation of consoles is in development and that the process is accompanied by AMD. The brand is strongly committed to a broad ecosystem, without being tied to a single device.
The news came from Sarah Bond, president of Xbox, who revealed in an official video that they are already working on several next-generation devices. The collaboration with AMD will be key to enhancing graphical performance and technical capabilities.

A new era for Xbox
Bond's message was clear: "We want Xbox not to be limited to a single console." This strategy has already been seen with Series X and S, and now it is deepened with a more diversified proposal.
The company confirmed a multi-year strategic agreement with AMD to co-design custom chips. The goal is to create a portfolio of devices that share the same gamer DNA, but with different ways to play.
More performance, more freedom
In the video, the executive highlights the four pillars of this new generation:
- Cutting-edge performance
- Next-generation graphics
- Revolutionary gameplay
- Unlimited compatibility with the Xbox game library

In addition, artificial intelligence will be one of the major commitments to improve the experience on all devices, regardless of whether users play on console, PC, or portable.
ROG Xbox Ally portable consoles arrive
Meanwhile, as the future of traditional consoles is being defined, Xbox is already fully entering the portable world. The new ROG Xbox Ally devices, developed together with Asus, will go on sale before the end of the year.

There will be two models: one with an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor (more powerful) and another with AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, designed for a broader audience. Both will be part of the new Xbox multiplatform ecosystem.
When will the new Xbox consoles be released?
For now, there is no confirmed date or pricing details. However, the company made it clear that development is already underway and that the focus will be on offering more than one console, without being tied to a single physical format.
