Agreement between YPF and Globant to incorporate artificial intelligence tools
The initiative is part of a plan to improve operational efficiency and increase the competitiveness of the oil company
Within the framework of its strategic plan "4x4," YPF took a key step toward the modernization of its processes by signing an agreement with the technology company Globant.
The objective of the oil company is to deeply transform its supply chain area through artificial intelligence tools (AI) developed in the country. The initiative is part of a comprehensive vision to improve operational efficiency and increase the company's competitiveness in the global energy scenario.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was led by the president and CEO of YPF, Horacio Marín, and the co-founder and CEO of Globant, Martín Migoya. This understanding marks the beginning of a collaboration between one of the most important energy companies in Latin America and one of the Argentine technology companies with the greatest international projection.

With this alliance, YPF seeks to completely redesign the operating model of its supply chain, one of the most complex in the country, which involves managing more than 5,000 suppliers and over 100,000 products and services. The implementation of AI-based solutions will allow task automation, optimization of strategic decisions, and ensuring compliance with internal standards at all levels of the logistics system.
"This alliance contributes to the work we are doing at YPF to become increasingly efficient. We compete with the world's main players, and suppliers play a key role in our competitiveness," Marín noted after signing the agreement. In this line, he highlighted the trust placed in Globant to incorporate new technological tools capable of enhancing the company's value chain.
From Globant, Martín Migoya celebrated the challenge: "Thinking about projects for YPF is always a reason for joy and a challenge. Founded over 100 years ago, YPF was a pioneer in showing the world what Argentines are capable of doing."
The innovative model that YPF and Globant will develop will incorporate algorithms backed by experts to address complex challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and scale solutions across the organization. Additionally, this system will have the ability to continuously learn, evolving over time.

This project is part of YPF's 4x4 Plan, a roadmap aimed at consolidating the company as a relevant player in the international market, with ambitious goals such as reaching 30 billion dollars in exports by 2030.
Meanwhile, Globant continues to establish itself as a global reference in the technology sector. With a presence in 35 countries and more than 31,000 employees, it has worked with giants like Google, Santander, and Electronic Arts, and was recently recognized by Brand Finance as one of the fastest-growing technology brands in the world.
The alliance between YPF and Globant represents more than technological modernization: it is an example of how traditional industry and digital innovation can integrate to create high-impact solutions with an Argentine stamp.
