Within the framework of its strategic plan "4x4," YPF took a key step toward the modernization of its processes by signing an agreement with the technology company Globant.
The objective of the oil company is to deeply transform its supply chain area through artificial intelligence tools (AI) developed in the country. The initiative is part of a comprehensive vision to improve operational efficiency and increase the company's competitiveness in the global energy scenario.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was led by the president and CEO of YPF, Horacio Marín, and the co-founder and CEO of Globant, Martín Migoya. This understanding marks the beginning of a collaboration between one of the most important energy companies in Latin America and one of the Argentine technology companies with the greatest international projection.

With this alliance, YPF seeks to completely redesign the operating model of its supply chain, one of the most complex in the country, which involves managing more than 5,000 suppliers and over 100,000 products and services. The implementation of AI-based solutions will allow task automation, optimization of strategic decisions, and ensuring compliance with internal standards at all levels of the logistics system.
"This alliance contributes to the work we are doing at YPF to become increasingly efficient. We compete with the world's main players, and suppliers play a key role in our competitiveness," Marín noted after signing the agreement. In this line, he highlighted the trust placed in Globant to incorporate new technological tools capable of enhancing the company's value chain.
