The oil company took a new step in its technological modernization by inaugurating a unique operations center in Argentina

YPF inaugurated the Integrated Room of the Plaza Huincul Industrial Complex (CIPH), an innovative space that consolidates the company's technological transformation and reinforces its strategic role within Argentina's energy framework. This is the country's first room that integrates advanced artificial intelligence applied to industrial operation in real time, operating uninterruptedly 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The new center unifies the Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) and the Control Room in the same physical space, allowing comprehensive coordination of processes, data, and operational decisions. This integration improves efficiency, reduces response times, and raises the complex's safety and productivity standards.
Artificial intelligence applied to energy production
For the first time in an Argentine refinery,YPF incorporated five artificial intelligence agents trained specifically to optimize the comprehensive operation of the complex. These systems make it possible to respond to technical queries, anticipate operational deviations, and assist operators with precise and reliable information in real time.

AI concentrates all the technical knowledge of the production process, with responses equivalent to those of a specialized manual, which streamlines decision-making and allows human teams to focus on their main objective: producing quality fuels for Argentines efficiently and competitively.
"With this technological incorporation, the Plaza Huincul Refinery is positioned as the best in Argentina," stated Horacio Marín, president and CEO of YPF. He also emphasized that the modernization process is part of a long-term strategy aimed at the country's growth. "I am extremely proud of the technological change that we are making in YPF and of the effort that all the people are putting in to achieve the national objective: for Argentina to export more than 30 billion dollars as of 2031," he said.
A project aligned with YPF's 4x4 Plan
The CIPH Integrated Room constitutes a strategic contribution to YPF's 4x4 Plan, the program that aims to maximize efficiencies, reduce costs, and make the most of the company's industrial and export potential, in line with the ordering and productivity agenda promoted by the national government.

Operational integration between the RTIC and the Control Room in a collaborative environment.
Five advanced AI agents for technical and operational support.
More than 20 screens with real-time information and valuation of 117 variables through the Optimax system.
Multidisciplinary team of 11 professionals specialized in processes, planning, and energy management.
Continuous training through operational simulators (OTS).
Estimated economic impact: increase in the integrated margin of more than 4 million dollars in the first year.

Plaza Huincul and Vaca Muerta, pillars of energy development
The Plaza Huincul Industrial Complex produces Super and Infinia gasoline, Grade 2 diesel, and jet fuel (JP1), which are distributed throughout Northern Patagonia. Currently, more than 95% of the oil processed comes from Vaca Muerta, consolidating the refinery as a key player in the industrialization of Argentine shale.
In addition, the complex has the country's only large-scale methanol plant, with supply to both the local and international markets, reinforcing the export profile and added value of the national energy industry.
The inauguration of this integrated room not only marks a technological milestone, but also confirms YPF's course toward a more efficient, modern company oriented toward the generation of foreign currency, in line with the new economic model that seeks to position Argentina as a competitive energy supplier at the global level.
