Recently, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States discovered that the Biden administration granted USD 2 billion to a climate group linked to Stacey Abrams, former Democratic candidate for the governorship of the state of Georgia and a fierce advocate of former President Joe Biden.
The money was allocated to Power Forward Communities, a nonprofit organization that works with various progressive groups and was founded by Abrams, who expressed her enthusiasm for being part of it. The information was reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
This money was reserved in an external financial institution, the bank Citibank, before Biden left the presidency. It is part of a larger fund, of USD 20 billion, that the EPA received through the Inflation Reduction Act to distribute among climate groups.

However, the choice of Power Forward Communities to receive such a considerable amount of money has raised concerns, especially because, according to its tax statements, the organization reported only USD 100 in revenue during 2023.
The EPA administrator, Lee Zeldin, expressed his concern, highlighting that the allocation of 2 billion dollars to an organization with such few resources is extremely alarming, as it represents 20 million times the organization's reported revenue that year.
Zeldin also revealed that it was discovered that the predecessors of the Biden administration had set aside the total of the USD 20 billion in an attempt to prevent the Trump administration from recovering that money. Additionally, there was an attempt to conceal the entities to which Power Forward Communities and other groups would distribute those funds.

Zeldin emphasized that there is great concern about the lack of federal oversight in the allocation of these funds and the possibility that they are being given to left-wing activist groups closely linked to the Biden administration.
In his comments to the press, Zeldin made it clear that his goal is to be a good steward of public funds and that he hasn't wasted time investigating the destination of these resources.
