In the context of peace negotiations with the Islamic regime of Iran, President Donald Trump stated this Tuesday that any Iranian funds that are released will be held in an escrow account under strict control of the United States, and that these assets will only be used for the purchase of food and medical supplies produced and manufactured by American labor.
"This is a humanitarian crisis, and I feel it is necessary to help, NOW, before it is too late", Trump expressed on his Truth Social network. In the same vein, the president stated that Iran "has fully and completely accepted nuclear inspections at the highest level," a step he described as a historic achievement in the ongoing talks between the warring nations.
Alongside this progress, Trump announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain open and that he chose not to renew the naval blockade on Iranian ports. However, the president warned that U.S. military forces remain positioned in the region ready to reinstate the measure of force if necessary.

Tehran contradicts Trump's statements
A few hours ago, Iranian regime officials denied reports claiming that the country had accepted the return of inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the nuclear facilities that were severely damaged during the joint military attacks by the United States and Israel last year.
One of the senior diplomats from the Iranian foreign ministry, Esmaeil Baqaei, stated that the regime does not plan to allow IAEA access to the bombed sites during the war. Likewise, Trump was firm and warned that if the counterpart does not accept these controls "there will be no more negotiations" and military actions will resume.
Beyond the conflicting accounts, regional negotiators and mediators - led by Qatar and Pakistan - are optimistic that these dialogue tables will lead to a broader and more lasting agreement in the coming weeks. Under the pact signed last week, the parties have a 60-day deadline to outline an action plan regarding Tehran's nuclear program and the easing of economic sanctions, which Trump has already indicated will only be used to purchase American products.
