This morning, President Donald Trump used his speech before the UN General Assembly in New York to give an ultimatum to Iran and directly challenge the Islamic Republic to its representatives' faces.
"As president of the most extraordinary nation in history, I have no interest in allowing dangers to grow for another day. I do not believe in letting problems escalate; they only become harder to solve. So, while others have talked, I have acted", Trump began saying to the assembly.
"Upon taking office last year, I immediately opened negotiations with Iran and offered them total economic cooperation in exchange for ending their nuclear program and support for terrorism, but they refused. They flatly refused. That was a big mistake", the president expressed before world leaders.
"After giving Iran every opportunity for an agreement, I took steps to ensure that neither the United States nor any other nation should ever face such a nightmare, such a catastrophic problem. Even so, even after agreeing to a ceasefire for nuclear discussions, Iran quickly violated it with brazen acts of terrorism against civilian ships from other countries", the president continued, who then launched the threat of total annihilation.

"I have a big decision to make: will there be an agreement with Iran that allows them to rebuild and create a much larger country, perhaps one of the largest in the Middle East or even the world, or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them the chance to kill and destroy people and countries again? Do I throw them into hell with no chance of survival or hope for greatness for future generations?", he fired.
"But I believe we will make a fair deal after the elections because it makes no sense for them not to. They are waiting to see how I do in the midterm election. What they do not realize is that I am not running. I already did that and won by a landslide. We won by a huge beatdown, and I will be here for two and a half more years", the president reflected.
"I gave absolutely no credibility nor will I give any to the elections when it comes to Iran. It doesn't even cross my mind. The only thing that matters is that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon", Trump concluded, assuring that the US military has more ammunition "than we could ever even think of using."
