The Donald Trump administration rejected the versions about an alleged closure of the Strait of Hormuz and assured that the circulation of boats not only continues, but that has increased in the last few hours.
The presidential spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed at a press conference that the crossing “is open right now”, in contrast to reports released by state media of the Iranian regime, which had stated otherwise.
During her speech, the official made direct reference to the versions coming from Tehran and marked differences between public and private messages.
“Regarding Iranian state media reports, the president was informed of those reports. This is a case where what they say publicly is different from what they say in private,” he said.
In this regard, it reinforced the position of the US administration regarding the current situation in the area. “We saw an increase in traffic today in the strait today,” he said, while dismissing versions of a traffic interruption
