Mark Ruffalo questioned Paramount's purchase of Warner because the owners are Jewish

Amid the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery by Paramount Skydance, leftist actor Mark Ruffalo became embroiled in a strong controversy over his antisemitism, following public statements in which he harshly targeted David Ellison, Paramount's director, and his father Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle.

The actor, known for portraying Hulk in the Marvel universe, claimed that both Jewish businessmen are "classic oligarchs" who contribute to "genocide" and "apartheid". He also shared a video on his social media in which it is pointed out that Oracle technologies are used to support the Israeli army.

The statements generated an immediate response from Paramount, which questioned Ruffalo for transferring a business dispute into the political and religious arena.

The company expressed being "concerned" about the use of "antisemitic topics" under the pretext of a commercial discussion and specifically questioned the references made by the actor.

Mark Ruffalo is a pro-Palestinian activist and one of the most active voices in Hollywood demanding an end to Israel's military operations against terrorism.

Additionally, he has called for sanctions and an arms embargo against Israel, as well as promoting and praising propaganda works linked to Palestinian terrorist groups.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center backed Paramount

The discussion also reached organizations dedicated to combating antisemitism. The Simon Wiesenthal Center, based in Los Angeles, supported Paramount and questioned the use of references to Israel within a dispute related to a simple business operation.

“At a time when antisemitism is minimized, rationalized, or reformulated with more socially acceptable language, this kind of moral clarity matters,” wrote Jim Berk, executive director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, on X.

The leader added: “Invoking Israel in a matter where it is completely irrelevant is a classic example of obsession and demonization.”

The controversy once again places Ruffalo at the center of a dispute that exceeds the potential acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, and reflects again his strong antisemitism and hatred against Israel.
