In New Jersey, a Democrat-controlled state, thousands of foreigners became eligible to vote due to a "software error," sparking a scandal

On Tuesday, the ultra-democratic governor of New Jersey, Mikie Sherrill, admitted in a press conference that a “serious software error” in the state's Motor Vehicle System allowed thousands of foreign citizens to register to vote between June 2023 and June 2024, and some even managed to vote illegally in the state elections.

Sherrill blamed the electoral software provider for this failure, although this company, IDEMIA, disputed this information and stated in a statement that its system simply transmits the data from the applications collected by the Commission, so the decision to include these non-citizens in the electoral roll and allow them to vote rested solely with the state's Democratic government.

The Trump administration, through Karoline Leavitt, commented on this scandal that demonstrates that the president was once again right to denounce democratic fraud. The White House spokesperson refused to answer whether the Department of Justice plans to investigate this matter but emphasized the timeliness and suspiciousness of the timing of the discovery.

"The fact that out of nowhere she decided to issue a press release saying that President Trump and the Republicans were right about non-citizens in our electoral rolls is no coincidence. I think this governor says this because she realizes that this administration is serious about getting to the bottom of the issue of illegal immigrants voting and being on the rolls in our country," Leavitt indicated.

"The Secretary of Homeland Security, as you know, sent a letter to several states, including New Jersey, demanding that non-citizens on their electoral rolls be reported to DHS and removed from those lists. That's why, all of a sudden, she comes out to tell the truth about something that is happening in states across the country," the official added.

"She [Sherrill] says there are 6,600. We suspect there are many more, not just in New Jersey but in several states across the country," emphasized Leavitt, who also highlighted the need for Congress to pass the SAVE America Act, which requires voters to verify that they are U.S. citizens when voting, thus preventing illegal immigrants from voting in elections.
