President Donald Trump demanded on Monday that Iran compensate the families of all the dissidents it has killed and injured over the past five decades after the terrorist regime claimed compensation for damages inflicted during the military conflict.
"I see that representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran are asking for compensation for the damages caused during the military conflict of the last five months", Trump wrote on his social media, explaining that the war began because the Persian regime refused to give up its pursuit of a nuclear bomb.
Trump described his counterpart's demand as "an interesting idea," as Washington could present its own claims based on decades of violence and abuses committed by the Iranians. The president cited the example of Americans killed or injured by bombs placed along roads, an idea from the late Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, whom Trump killed in 2020 with a drone.

During the Iraq war, pro-Iranian militias were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers. Soleimani supplied these groups with shaped charge explosives, known as IEDs. The Pentagon estimates that the number of victims amounts to 603.
Another incident for which Trump demanded reparations was the attack on the USS Cole in 2000, where 17 American sailors were killed and another 40 were injured. The terrorist group Al Qaeda, with Iranian assistance, planned and executed this attack.
Trump did not forget the opponents of the Islamic regime who were massacred by their own government in the last half century. The Republican leader recalled the "hundreds of thousands of innocent protesters" who died during the last five months. "I have instructed my representatives to firmly include this in each and every future negotiation," he emphasized.
