Trump assured progress with Iran and demanded an end to the nuclear program to close an agreement.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, assured that there are concrete advances in negotiations with Iran. However, he made clear that there is a central condition for any agreement: Tehran must abandon its nuclear program

.

“There are important points of agreement,” the president told the press. But he was blunt on the main demand: Iran must stop enriching uranium and hand over its current reserves. “We don't want enrichment, but we also want enriched uranium,” he stressed.

Trump's warning: More attacks if the dialogue fails

Trump also posed an alternative scenario. If negotiations fail, the United States will step up its military offensive

.

“We will simply continue to bomb with all our hearts,” he said, in a statement reflecting Washington's pressure on the Iranian regime.

Regime change and coup against the Iranian leadership

The president went further and assured that regime change in Iran is already under way. As he explained, the elimination of senior officials during the conflict automatically generated this process

.

“We have eliminated the leadership in phase one, phase two and much of phase three,” he said, referring to the attacks that impacted the Iranian power structure.

Reserved negotiations with a high-level Iranian leader

Trump revealed that the talks were led by his Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, together with Jared Kushner. The contacts were made on Sunday night.

According to the president, the dialogue does not include the new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Instead, they are negotiating with a “respected” and high-ranking Iranian figure, whose identity was not revealed

.

Iran denies contacts and accuses a maneuver

.

From Tehran, the version is completely different.

The Mehr agency, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, denied that there are negotiations.

The Iranian government called the announcement a strategy to influence energy prices and dismissed any rapprochement with Washington.

Pause in attacks and rising tension

Hours earlier, Trump had ordered attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure to be suspended for five days. The measure was subject to the progress of negotiations

.

The conflict is in its fourth week since the start of joint US-Israeli bombings on February 28. The death toll is more than 2,000.

In parallel, Iran threatened to attack energy targets linked to US bases. He also warned that it could undermine the Persian Gulf in the face of new attacks.

Israel, for its part, announced a new wave of offensives against infrastructure in Tehran, marking that operations

are not always coordinated. Market

reaction: stock markets rise and oil fall

Markets reacted positively to signs of relaxation. Wall Street opened higher than 1.4%, while Nasdaq rose

1.6%.

Oil registered a sharp drop of close to 10%. Brent fell back to $96, after having surpassed 113 during the day

.

Analysts explained that investors interpret the statements as a possible pause in hostilities. However, they warn that sustainability will depend on the normalization of traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
