The president Donald Trump will be the star of the first midterm convention in the history of the Republican Party, which will take place in the Texas city of Dallas. The president will kick off the event on Wednesday night and then close it the following day with some final words.
The vice president JD Vance will be in charge of delivering the opening speech on Thursday night, while the administration prepares for the legislative elections in November with a focus on retaining the Republican majority in Congress, especially in the Senate.
In this regard, it was revealed this Saturday that Trump's machinery has hit the ground running and made its first major investment for the elections, allocating 10 million dollars in Texas to help his ally, the state attorney general, Ken Paxton, win the Senate seat.
"This election comes down to a simple choice: lower costs, lower taxes, secure borders, and common sense versus higher taxes, completely open borders, and the radical liberal agenda that the Democratic Party has fully embraced," declared the RNC chairman, Joe Gruters, to Just The News.
"Republicans are the party of hardworking and patriotic Americans who believe in fair pay for a day's work, safe streets, secure borders, and a government that gets out of the way and lets Americans earn again," he added.
Also speaking at the Dallas Convention will be the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, and several members of the Trump cabinet, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Attorney General Todd Blanche, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy.
No members of the Republican leadership in the Senate will be given the opportunity to participate in the Convention due to their clashes with Trump and for not pushing key legislation for the administration such as the Save America Act, which protects the U.S. electoral system from fraud.
The first midterm Republican convention will begin this Wednesday.
