The Iranian proxy in Lebanon continues to sow violence in the country and violate the ceasefire negotiated with Israel

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, declared this Sunday that his country will attack Iran again if the Islamic regime fails to prevent its terrorist allies from Hezbollah from continuing to sow violence in Lebanon.

"Iran must immediately stop its highly paid proxies in Lebanon from causing problems", the president wrote on Truth Social. "If they don't, we will hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!".

In recent hours, Vice President JD Vance and senior officials of the Iranian regime held negotiations in Switzerland to discuss Tehran's nuclear program and the status of the Strait of Hormuz, which remains open to international trade thanks to U.S. oversight, despite constant Iranian threats.

If they strictly adhere to the terms of the framework agreement signed a few days ago, the parties have a 60-day deadline to reach a final deal that defines the technical details of Tehran's nuclear program.

JD Vance's Statements

"The question before us now is how much more can we achieve together? Can we turn the page?", Vance briefly posed. "Can we change relationships in the Middle East permanently, or do we go back to doing things the old way? The latter is not our preference, but it is certainly something that could very well happen," he added.

Vance talked with Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, a key leader who has acted as an intermediary between Washington and Tehran throughout the conflict. For his part, Sharif met separately with the Iranian Parliament President, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, and with Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi.

Although the official start of negotiations in Switzerland was scheduled for Friday, the agenda was affected by the intensification of fighting in Lebanon in recent hours, following attacks by Hezbollah against Israeli soldiers. The U.S. delegation also included Trump's special advisors, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

In the agreement signed by Trump, Tehran is required to dilute its highly enriched uranium reserves, which are believed to be hidden under the nuclear sites that were targeted by U.S. bombings last summer, and to finally give up any ambition to manufacture nuclear weapons
