The Democrat confirmed that his wife, Michelle Obama, asked him to stay away from politics.

The former President of the United States, Barack Obama, recently admitted that Donald Trump has caused a crisis in his marriage. The Democrat said that there is “real tension” between him and his wife Michelle Obama due to his constant attacks on his successor in the White House
.
Michelle is frustrated that her husband is still campaigning for Democrats despite leaving office nearly a decade ago, so much so that the former first lady surprised the country by refusing to attend the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter last year.
Obama himself recently commented in a podcast that he was looking to spend more time with his wife to remedy the attention “deficit” that existed in his marriage. In other statements, this time to the left-wing magazine The New Yorker, the former president revealed that his continued activism against Trump is a source of irritation for Michelle

“She wants to see her husband relaxing and spending more time with her, enjoying what's left of our lives,” said the Obama. “This creates genuine tension in our home and frustrates her. I am more sympathetic to the subject, in the sense that I understand why people feel that way, because they are not comparing me historically to other presidents. They don't care about the fact that no other former president was the party's main representative for four election cycles after leaving office,” he added.
Since leaving the White House, Obama has focused on helping Democrats strip Republicans of seats in the House of Representatives, a practice traditionally known as gerrymandering. For example, in the referendum in Virginia last month, he asked residents to support the redesign of the state's electoral map in order to eliminate Republican representation
in it.
Obama was also very involved in helping the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, to convince voters to support a Democratic initiative that annihilated five seats in Congress that belonged to representatives who were part of the Republican Party, turning California into a state with 48 Democratic representatives and only 4 Republicans.
