Israel eliminated high-ranking leaders of Islamic Jihad and Hamas.

The objectives were responsible for rebuilding the military capabilities of those terrorist groups

In a series of airstrikes carried out over the past two weeks, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the internal intelligence service Shin Bet announced the elimination of several senior terrorist leaders from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The targets were part of the key structures responsible for rebuilding the military capabilities of these groups after the severe setbacks suffered since the beginning of the conflict.

According to the joint statement, the eliminated operatives led units dedicated to weapons production, military intelligence, and terrorist financing. Among the main individuals killed are:

  • Muhammad Abu Awwad, senior member of Hamas's projects and weapons development department;
  • Bilal Abu Shikha and Tayseer Shareem, section commanders at the weapons production headquarters;
  • Mundhir Salami, head of a weapons manufacturing site;
  • Bilal Musallam, member of Hamas's military intelligence division;
  • Rabi’ Mustafa Rabi’ Sukhweil, key financial operator, responsible for transferring millions of dollars to the group's military wing;
  • Ahmad Abu Shamala, squad commander in military intelligence;
  • Mustafa Dababesh, deputy director at the weapons production headquarters;
  • Muhammad Al-Bayouk, significant figure in the weapons production system of Islamic Jihad.

These attacks are part of Israel's ongoing strategy to prevent terrorist groups from reorganizing and rebuilding their military infrastructure. The operation once again demonstrates Israeli intelligence's capability to locate key terrorism actors in Gaza and neutralize them with precision, thus protecting its population and dismantling the machinery of violence.
