Israel almost eliminated Iran's president

Israel continues to defend its existence against the growing threat from the Iranian regime. According to reports published by the semi-official Fars agency, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was injured in one leg during an Israeli airstrike on June 16 against a building of the Supreme National Security Council in western Tehran.
Senior regime officials were present at the meeting, including the Speaker of Parliament and the Chief of the Judiciary. The attack, which was part of an air campaign launched by Israel against Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile program, reportedly used six missiles guided by precise intelligence information, which has led Iranian authorities to suspect possible infiltration.
Pezeshkian, in a recent interview with Qatar-funded anti-Israel journalist Tucker Carlson, directly accused Israel of attempting to assassinate him, acknowledging that the information enabling the attack was the result of Israeli "spies." Although the political leaders escaped through an emergency exit, some—including the president—were injured while fleeing without light or oxygen.

The Israeli operation was part of a large-scale offensive that, according to the Jerusalem government, aimed to neutralize the existential threat posed by Iran, which has openly declared its intention to destroy the Jewish state. In that offensive, senior Iranian military officials were eliminated, including commanders of the Revolutionary Guard and the missile program.
Although Israel made it clear that it doesn't seek regime change, it did demonstrate its ability to strike with precision and force to halt Iranian nuclear advances. The offensive culminated in a truce negotiated by the U.S. following its own military intervention.
